Quick Start Guide

Get Alita Robot running in your group in just a few steps.

Add the Bot Step 1
- Add to existing group
- Create a new group
1. Open Telegram and search for @AlitaRobot (or your self-hosted bot)
2. Click Start to begin a conversation
3. Click the Add to Group button, or use this link: Add Alita to Group
4. Select your group and confirm
1. Open Telegram and create a new group
2. During member selection, search for @AlitaRobot and add it
3. Complete group creation — Alita will be added automatically
4. Alternatively, create the group first, then use the link: Add Alita to Group
Make the Bot Admin Step 2

Alita cannot moderate your group without admin permissions. Without them, commands like ban, mute, and delete will fail silently.
1. Open your group settings
2. Go to Administrators
3. Click Add Administrator
4. Select Alita Robot
5. Enable these permissions:
  - Delete messages
  - Ban users
  - Invite users via link
  - Pin messages
  - Manage video chats (optional)

Set Group Rules

Set Welcome Message

Enable CAPTCHA (Recommended)

Use {mention} in welcome messages to tag new members by name. Other placeholders include {title} for the group name and {count} for member count.
